QSI provides the fundamental knowledge to install both basic and advanced video products, high-speed data and telephony. Technicians will rapidly develop the foundational skills needed to increase their productivity, decrease their repeat trouble calls and improve their on-time guarantee. Delivered in an interactive format, QSI presents the necessary knowledge on triple play services as well as providing fundamental knowledge on Wi-Fi and MoCA.

Upon completing this course, students will be able to:
- understand the operation of a broadband cable system
- understand the safety regulations, customer service requirements, functions of drop components and connection/interface of customer premises equipment in a broadband drop system
- identify customer concerns and solve customer problems
- correctly use and maintain all required installation hand and power tools
- fully understand required ladder inspections and practice safe ladder handling techniques
- thoroughly comprehend the required pole climbing safety inspections and safe pole climbing procedures
- identify features and control components, perform measurements and maintain digital multi meters and signal level meters
- understand F-connectors and install various indoor and environmentally sealed F-connectors
- safely and correctly perform single resident aerial and underground installations from the tap to the customer premises equipment, following all pertinent safety regulations and recommended practices/procedures
- interpret digital measurements to evaluate digital signal quality
- examine the fundamentals of coaxial drop cable, twisted-pair cable, Wi-Fi and MoCA technologies
