The NCTI Fiber-Optic Maintenance III: Restoration course prepares technicians for the high-pressure scenario of a network outage. When a fiber cut occurs, every second of downtime costs money and reputation.
This course moves beyond basic repair to strategic Disaster Recovery. Students will learn to develop and execute a comprehensive Restoration Plan, coordinating personnel and equipment to restore service swiftly. The curriculum covers the full lifecycle of an outage: from identifying the failure source (Dig-ups, Equipment Room failures) to executing safe repairs and implementing Preventive Maintenance strategies to stop future failures before they happen.
