NCTI, Comporium SMA Solutions team to Create Essential Home Security Curriculum
Littleton, CO –February 7, 2018 –NCTI, the Industry leader in powering frontline teams through timely and relevant learning, and Comporium SMA Solutions, a leading provider of full, turnkey and end-to-end security, home automation and energy management solutions for the cable industry, have announced the development and release of a brand-new online course designed exclusively for technicians responsible for the installation and support of Comporium’s Security, Monitoring and Automation (SMA) platform. The course will be available to current and prospective Comporium SMA Solutions customers beginning in early-to-mid February.
Intended to reinforce and complement the training Comporium provides for its customers, the new Home Security Technician course will strengthen installers’ SMA platform knowledge at the point of installation from product updates to frequently-encountered trouble calls. Students will benefit from Comporium’s exclusive content and NCTI’s dynamic new e-learning format featuring video-rich content and interactive lessons designed to meet the standards of current adult learning trends.

The Home Security Technician course is currently comprised of three lessons, with two more to be added in the near future. While the completion time will vary based on an individual’s learning style, it is estimated that a majority of students will finish the course within four or five hours. Students will receive an NCTI certificate of achievement upon successful completion of the course.
