The NCTI® Quick Start Installer (QSI) course helps new technicians rapidly develop the skills needed to perform high-quality broadband installations, turning novices into productive installers in record time. In an industry where repeat truck rolls destroy profitability, this course focuses on getting it right the first time, reducing repeat service visits, and improving customer experience.
This course prepares technicians to install and support modern broadband services from the tap to the customer’s home. Students build customer service and communication skills, learn core broadband concepts (network architecture, RF, and digital signals), and practice using industry installation and test tools for coaxial, twisted-pair, and fiber-optic systems. The course also covers safe aerial access, drop installation, bonding and grounding, interior routing and entry practices, and a structured troubleshooting process for cabling and Wi-Fi signal strength issues.
