SON for 5G

The 5G RAN, like 4G, includes SON (Self Organizing Network) features. This short course details the concepts behind SON for 5G, focusing on the 3GPP aspects. Initially the key concepts and terminology for SON are introduced, followed by a discussion on how SON impacts the establishment and configuration within the NG-RAN. The course then introduces the various 5G SON optimization features. Finally, the course explores 5G SON Energy Saving and Self-Healing options.
